Jack Giles
Twenty-three-year-old fine artist in the Boston area, spending my free time connecting with nature through artistic expression. My art is meant only to be human. I am not aiming for perfection or replication, but rather striving to express my gratitude, praise, and admiration of all things good in this world through my poor attempts at emulating its beauty.
Currently, I am focused on impressionistic mixed media landscapes, most frequently New England coastal and wooded scenes. I've found landscape painting exceptionally difficult to produce, and am reminded daily how masterfully crafted and intricately layered natural beauty can be, and how fragile my ego can be in my attempts to capture it. Until I find myself content with my expression, landscapes are where my concentration will continue to lie.
